Rise and Shout the Cougars are Out!

Who can forget that bugle call every morning before seminary! Yes, our passion for BYU football was ingrained in each of us every day as mom would wake us up to get a move on. Favorite memory? Gee, where do we start? Dad would go to great lengths every week during football season to make sure we could witness the game. The Bates, Taylors, Christensens, relief society rooms and sometimes local bars were all privy to the extreme cougar Pittard pride. Games were always very fun to watch--especially with the family. A few years ago, Jeff and I were able to watch a game here in Tucson together. Though the outcome wasn't like we had anticipated, it was a cherished memory to laugh and talk together.

And what about BYU/Utah 2006 at the Crocketts? Uncle Steve was screamin like a little girl after the last second heroics! Mark would frequently get harassing updates throughout the game from the prodigal Uncle Brian Pittard about the game. In fact, he was on the phone with Mark during the last and final play of the game. I don't think Mark heard the dial tone over the pandemonium that ensued in the Crockett residence. Yep, BYU football has and will continue to produce great memories.
